SFRPG Exploration Kit

This kit was made for Simple Fantasy RPG, but can be used for any fantasy game system.

What should I expect before downloading?

This download includes 3 booklets each focusing on different types of exploration: dungeon, wilderness, and settlements.

The Dungeon booklet provides random tables that allows you to generate dungeon maps as well as hostile encounters, loot, and quest clues.

The Wilderness booklet provides tables that allow you to randomly generate biomes for hexcrawls or pointcrawls, with multiple tables the facilitate a gradual change in land types and weather. Loot, landmarks, and encounters also included.

The Settlement booklet provides tables for generating towns quickly such as population size, exports, and buildings. It also provides tables for rumors, as well as positive, negative, and passive encounters.

This kit is best paired with a descriptor table or  gm emulator. Try out Simple Fantasy RPG's GM Emulator for more easy-to-use tables for solo play.

Why do the rules come in separate booklets/zines?

It was made this way to make it more accessible. Separate books will make it quicker and easier to find specific rules during play and the small size will take up less space at your table and make it easier for travel. The provided print files can be printed on US Letter paper. Setting up the booklets can be a bit difficult at first. The tutorial provided here is recommended if you never made a 16-page zine before.
